AWARDS AND A NEW MEMBER

 

Our Club received several awards and Presidential Citations at the District Conference last weekend.  President Leslie received some of them at the Friday luncheon.  Among them were the Club Membership, Multi-club Service Projects for KNPB youth writers contest and Bridges Out of Poverty.  Presidential citations were for International Service (house building in Mexico) Vocational, Public Image, Community Service (Marvin Piccolo School project) and Attendance.  Way to go Club.

Mark and Jo Leiser donated $570.00 to Polio Plus from the sale of their candy at District Conference.  I need to add their number to my speed dial as I can't get enough of their toffee.

 

 

 

 

Our newest member Tom Keller, Assistant V.P. and Branch Manager for Heritage Bank of Nevada.  Be sure to welcome Tom and invite him to be on a committee.

We have a Fund Raiser coming up Sept. 30th, headed by Chesa.  The Dogs of Rotary.  All members are encouraged to participate.  Chesa will have information coming up during regular meetings soon.  Be sure to check our web site for upcoming events.  Remember we are off site next Tuesday.  I will be out of the country for the next two meetings so will be catching up in June.  Now who is that hiding behind that banner?  President  Leslie accepted the award for Past President Shelley Johnson's year for 100% member participation for $100.00 per-capita.
