Together we can RISE above hunger...
Dear Rotary Club of Reno Centennial Sunset,
Two teachers and eight students from Marce Herz Middle School, along with an architect and a carpenter, arrived at Meadowood Mall on Wednesday, may 19th with over 5,000 cans and big dreams to help the Northern Nevada Food Bank end hunger. Starting with the base and some plans, the students built from the ground up and the result was a model of the house from the Disney/Pixar movie “Up” built out of cans with some added balloons for character.
This could not have been possible without your generous donation. The 5,712 cans used equates to 4,080 meals for our community members in need. Thank you for helping us send hunger UP, UP, and AWAY!
Together we can RISE above hunger!
Signed by the two teachers and eight student builders.
