On February 14th we held a Fireside Chat at the home of Past President Joe Musser. Many members attended for a taco bar dinner, friendship and meeting.  Larie Trippet as our Foundation Treasurer, membership committee and holding a wealth of knowledge pertaining to Rotary led the presentation.  Larie covered as much as he could in the time but there is more.  All agreed it reminded us what Rotary is all about and for the new members the learning experience was appreciated.  As we grow with more new members another Fireside will be scheduled.  Thank you Larie.

We were dark on Feb. 21st due to the storm and heavy winds.  Our Feb. 28th meeting brought us our speech contest.  The topic was What Rotary Serving Humanity Means To Me.  As usual all enjoyed the evening.  From left to right we have Haley, Michael, President Leslie, Ryan and Coby.

O.K. who is this ham?  Larie Trippet displayed some of the Rotary shirts we can order to wear at our up coming events.  At this time Elijah Thomas is taking orders.  A form was handed out last evening and will be sent out to members.  Larie is encouraging we order at lease the polos in our Club color of maroon.

Run chair Courtney Pino gave us a report on where we stand with sponsorships for the Purple Pinkie Run.  Our members will be going out to Clubs to challenge them to group participation. Be sure to spread the word to register and pick up flyers from Courtney.

Dates to remember are March 25th to meet at the Marvin Picollo School to install benches and a ramp.  March 31st Rotary Ski Day and BBQ at Mt. Rose ski resort. I believe a guided tour on snow shoes will also be offered.  More information will follow.  April 1st is the Food Bank.

Next meeting I am going to try and buy Chesa's raffle tickets. The odds are it will be the red one next time. Or maybe I will grab her by the hand and have her play a slot machine for me. Congratulation Chesa.
