Our April 18th meeting started with a visit from our District Governor Nominee Tina Spencer.  This meeting was our Club Music Contest which Tina always enjoys.

Before the start of the meeting our members came early to stuff the gift bags for the Purple Pinkie Run and Walk being held this Saturday.  If you haven't registered you can do so on our web site.  We had so many great items to add to the bags .

Past President Chip Lindloff gave us an overview of the Music Contest.  We had five participants all very qualified.  Charter Daddy Fund was gracious to pay for the rental and delivery of the piano.  Our first place winner was from Damonte Ranch High School playing the saxophone.  His plans are to major in music with a focus on Jazz.  Between presenters we shared Rotary moments.  Co-Youth Chair Scott Maylath announced we have a Scholarship winner who will be submitted to the District to compete for their scholarship.

Rhoda Tahlman just returned from a vacation in Japan and brought us a trading flag from the Rotary Club of Tokyo-Kinza.
We had a few pieces of candy left over from Mark and Jo Leiser's contribution to the Purple Pinkie Run so it was suggested we bid on them and the proceeds going to Courtney Pino's Paul Harris.  What a fabulous job Courtney had done.  As I was the winning bidder the candy will go to my granddaughters Volley Ball team which is competing in Reno this weekend.

What the white marble?  Free dinner drawn by Scott.  What a great weekend for our Fund Raiser.
