THERE'S A NEW KID IN TOWN

Our newest member, Richard Mead was inducted on April 4th. Richard is a retail account executive with Elavon/Bank of the West Alliance. One of the many things Richard does is handle our credit card service. His feet are already wet by becoming a committee member for Fund Raising. If you haven't met or sat with Richard yet be sure to, you will enjoy many laughs. Our Club welcomes Richard Mead.
Our RYE student Juani is headed off to Hawaii for a final vacation before he goes home. We celebrated his Birthday and presented him a gift from the Club.
President Leslie reminded us the District Conference is coming soon. We will be dark May 16th so we can attend the Conference lunch on May 19th. Be sure to register as there will be no registering as a walk up. Also at the lunch our Purple Pinkie awards will be presented.
Fun Chair Lynn Johnson gave us a report on the Rotary Ski Day. Fifteen attendees came to ski, snowshoe and BBQ. Pictures of the event are posted on our face book page.
Run chair Courtney Pino showed us one of the awards that will be presented at the Purple Pinkie Run and District Conference. We will be stuffing the gift bags before the meeting Tuesday April 18th at 5:00.
We were moved to the Steak House for the 11th meeting so Speaker Chair Claire Collins came up with a fun event for the evening. It was like speed dating only our members moved every three minutes to talk to a different Rotarian about Rotary or anything else they wanted to talk about. What a good way to get a chance to talk to everyone.
While President Melissa was vacationing in Europe, Larie Trippet drew the marble for her. The red one, how cool is that. So the money pot now was pretty slim but Ricardo was able to get the white marble for a free dinner.
Our program for April 11th was presented by Youth Chair Chesa Keane. We had many RYE students attend and some gave us a recap of their experiences. Member Bridget Brundige has volunteered to become a RYE councilor.
The lucky man of the evening was Mark Schauss.
